Performance training

The strategy proposes high-performance surf training pools and facilities that complement practical experience in the ocean. Specialist disciplines include tow-in surfing and hydrofoil training, with delivery dependent on suitable expertise, equipment and safety arrangements.

Science and recovery

Proposed biomechanics laboratories would bring motion tracking and performance analysis into the training environment. The strategy also envisages recovery facilities including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and cryotherapy. Design, scope and delivery remain to be confirmed.

Student life by the ocean

On-campus surf lodges are proposed for full-time students, alongside a wider vision for surf-focused accommodation in the destination. Accommodation types, capacity and operating arrangements are still to be developed.

A meeting place for the sport

The strategy includes ambitions for competitions, student and alumni events, and an innovation summit. Event dates, sanctioning and external affiliations have not been confirmed.
